Currently the owner and director of The Writing Center and a freelance writer and editor, Linda Bowman has a master's degree in English education and has spent over 20 years as a writing instructor and program coordinator at the high school, community college, and university levels. She spent two years as the associate editor of the Mail Tribune's Joy Magazine and has written numerous articles and poems for national and regional publications. She has been editing publications, coaching writers and editing their work—from novels, short stories, and memoirs to essays, articles, and poetry—since her teaching career began.
Working closely with Linda Bowman for two years, I watched her help writers turn half-formulated ideas and rough drafts into polished manuscripts. She’s a writing coach, editor, and teacher rolled into one, with an uncanny ability to find the perfect voice, angle, and structure for any piece of writing. From substantive editing, to copyediting, to proofreading, I found her editorial expertise indispensable.

With Linda's help, my articles for Joy Magazine sparkled and my book proposal caught the eye of my "dream" publisher. I was looking for an expert wordsmith with integrity and a we-can attitude, and found much more with her!
